The Adventures Do Continue

June 10, 2011

It may appear that nothing exciting has been happening on the East Coast.  It’s not really that…just the same thing kept happening over and over.  A little thing we call snow kept falling for months.  So when your days consist of being stuck inside, shoveling, getting stuck inside again, and shoveling the next day then there isn’t really anything exciting or adventurous to photograph.  Pretty snow gets old around the end of January.  And we heard on the radio today, June 10, there is still a giant pile of snow in the mall parking lot near us that hasn’t melted yet despite some record high temperatures.

The review below takes me back to the cold days that I’ve been trying to put out of my mind.  But it also catches us up to the present where some of the days are so hot that I’m sure we’ll be complaining about that soon too…

Happy New Year!

There is an expectation that this year will have a lot in store.

The Next Adventure

February and March consisted of sleeping.  Every day.  In preparation for the next adventure.

Easter at the Movie Theater

This was our first warm day in many, many days.

We were so thankful for sunshine and a chance to go outside!

Pure Peace

And finally, the return to the Chatham Bars Inn.  It got me through many cold days.  The thought of the ocean breeze outside the window, the beautiful veranda, the amazingly soft and comfortable beds.  It’s like sleeping on a cloud! We are so grateful for the gift from Tyson’s company, even if it did rain most of the time.  (please note the consistent complaints about weather – it has been a very long year so far)

And now the adventures continue as we head into summer and prepare for the new adventure.  To follow the details of our baby preparations: http://kellytysonbaby.ourbabychannel.com/.

It was so good to meet you two this past weekend at Dan & Sarah’s wedding! I hopped over to your blog from John & Kelli’s and I’ll have to check back in later to meet your new little one!
